Yellow Line (Namma Metro)

The Yellow Line is a line on the Namma Metro rail system. As of 2025, the line is 19.15 km (11.90 mi) long, connecting Rashtreeya Vidyalaya Road with Bommasandra, and is fully elevated with 16 stations. The line interchanges with the Green Line at Rashtreeya Vidyalaya Road, and has two upcoming interchanges with the Pink Line at Jayadeva Hospital and the Blue Line at Central Silk Board. The Yellow Line was officially inaugurated on 10 August 2025 by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with the line opening for public use on the following day. The line currently operates with five trainsets at 15-minute headways during peak hours and 4 trainsets at 19-minute headways during non-peak hours . The sixth trainset arrived at Hebbagodi depot on 2nd December 2025, after its induction, The line will operate with six trainsets at 12-minute headways during peak hours and 5 trainsets at 15-minute headways during non-peak hours Further trainsets are to be introduced by March 2026, when full operations are expected with 15 trainsets and a headway of 5-6 minutes.
