Vergil Ortiz Jr. (born March 25, 1998) is an American professional boxer. He has held the World Boxing Council (WBC) interim super welterweight title since 2024. As an amateur, he was a seven-time national champion and won the 110 pounds category at the USA's Junior Olympic National Championships in 2013. He was named the 2019 Prospect of the Year by The Ring magazine. Ortiz is known for his exceptional punching power, having scored all but two of his wins by knockout.
