Tom Cotton

Thomas Bryant Cotton (born May 13, 1977) is an American politician and Army veteran serving since 2015 as the junior United States senator from Arkansas. A member of the Republican Party, he is the chairman of the Senate Republican Conference and third-ranking Senate Republican. He also chairs the Senate Intelligence Committee. From 2013 to 2015, Cotton served in the United States House of Representatives, representing Arkansas's 4th congressional district. He was elected to the Senate in 2014, defeating two-term Democratic incumbent Mark Pryor. A staunch conservative, Cotton is known for his hawkish views on foreign affairs, especially toward China, Iran, and Palestine.
