Stephen Flynn

Stephen Mark Flynn (born 13 October 1988) is a Scottish politician who has served as the Scottish National Party (SNP) Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP) for Aberdeen Deeside and North Kincardine since 2026, and served as Member of Parliament (MP) for Aberdeen South between 2019 and 2026. He served as the leader of the SNP in the House of Commons from December 2022 until May 2026. Under his leadership, the party lost 39 seats at the 2024 general election, reducing the SNP to the second-largest party in Westminster from Scotland and the fourth-largest party in Parliament. He was elected to the Scottish Parliament in the 2026 Scottish Parliament election and resigned as an MP.
