David Lane Johnson (born May 8, 1990) is an American professional football offensive tackle for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL). He was selected by the Eagles fourth overall in the 2013 NFL draft. He played college football for the Kilgore Rangers before transferring to the Oklahoma Sooners. Johnson has spent his entire career with the Philadelphia Eagles, with whom he has made 3 Super Bowl appearances, winning 2 (2018, 2024). He is a 2 time first-team All-Pro, 3 time second All-Pro, and 6 time Pro Bowl selection. Despite playing a position, right tackle, that receives little attention, analysts have noted the remarkable impact Johnson has on the Eagles' success. For example, as of December of 2025, the Eagles record was 110-57-1 (.658) in games in which Johnson played. Over the same period, they were 15-26 (.366) in games in which Johnson did not appear. ESPN analyst Bill Barnwell has described Johnson as "the best offensive linemen in football on a snap-by-snap basis."
