Doug Nussmeier

Douglas Keith Nussmeier (born December 11, 1970) is an American professional football coach and former quarterback who is the offensive coordinator for the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League (NFL). Nussmeier played college football for the Idaho Vandals football, winning the Walter Payton Award as the most outstanding offensive player in NCAA Division I-AA. He was selected by the New Orleans Saints in the fourth round of the 1994 NFL draft. He finished his playing career with the CFL's BC Lions. Prior to joining the Saints’ coaching staff, he served as the quarterbacks coach for the Philadelphia Eagles. Nussmeier previously served as an assistant coach for the Florida Gators, the Michigan Wolverines, the Alabama Crimson Tide, the Washington Huskies, the Fresno State Bulldogs and the Michigan State Spartans. Nussmeier has also previously served as quarterbacks coach for the St. Louis Rams, the Dallas Cowboys, the Ottawa Renegades, and the BC Lions. Nussmeier is the father of quarterback Garrett Nussmeier.
