Bullseye (Marvel Comics)
Updated: 12/11/2025, 9:31:35 AM Wikipedia source
Bullseye is a supervillain appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer Marv Wolfman and artist John Romita Sr., the character first appeared in Daredevil #131 (1976). He has since endured as one of the superhero Daredevil's two archenemies, alongside the Kingpin. Bullseye is a psychopathic assassin capable of using almost any object as a lethal projectile with preternatural, near-superhuman aim. Regarded as the greatest marksman and one of the deadliest assassins in the Marvel Universe, Bullseye uses his profession to satisfy his sadistic and homicidal tendencies. His vendetta against Daredevil began when he failed his contract to kill Daredevil's alter ego Matt Murdock, which Bullseye believed ruined his reputation. Bullseye has been part of defining Daredevil stories, including the murders of his love interests Elektra Natchios and Karen Page. Although his primary obsession is Daredevil, Bullseye has also fought other heroes such as the Punisher and Hawkeye. Unlike many comic book characters, Bullseye does not have a definitive origin story, but various possible ones have been developed. While the character's full name remains unknown, his first name has been revealed as Lester, and he has used the alias Benjamin Poindexter on several occasions. A black-and-white outfit with a symbol of his namesake on his forehead serves as Bullseye's visual motif. The character has been adapted in various media incarnations, having been portrayed in live-action by Colin Farrell in the film Daredevil, and Wilson Bethel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe television series Daredevil and its revival Daredevil: Born Again.
