2026 Georgia gubernatorial election

The 2026 Georgia gubernatorial election will take place on November 3, 2026, to elect the governor of Georgia. Incumbent Republican governor Brian Kemp is ineligible to seek re-election to a third consecutive term. Primary elections were held on May 19, 2026. Rick Jackson and Burt Jones received the most votes in the first round primary, but failed to reach the 50% threshold, triggering runoff elections which will take place on June 16. Whoever wins the runoff is set to face off against Democratic nominee Keisha Lance Bottoms in November.
