The 2025 Austrian Grand Prix (officially known as the Formula 1 MSC Cruises Austrian Grand Prix 2025) was a Formula One motor race held on 29 June 2025 at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Styria. It was the eleventh round of the 2025 Formula One World Championship. Lando Norris of McLaren took pole position for the race, which he went on to win ahead of his teammate Oscar Piastri and Charles Leclerc of Ferrari. The result enabled Norris to close the gap over Piastri to 15 points in the World Drivers' Championship. Following a first-lap-collision with Kimi Antonelli, Max Verstappen failed to score in a Formula One Grand Prix due to retirement for the first time since the 2024 Australian Grand Prix, meaning that his deficit to Piastri increased to 61 points, with George Russell only nine points behind him. Coupled with relatively disappointing results for both Mercedes and Red Bull, Ferrari capitalized on those events after finishing third and fourth behind both McLaren drivers, consequently reclaiming second place from Mercedes in the Constructors' Championship by a single point. Fourth-placed Red Bull (162 points) were 48 points adrift from Ferrari after this round.
